Terms and Conditions for Entry into Recycled Water Survey Competition

2. Entrants
Entry is open to any person, lawfully resident or visiting Australia, upon completion of the 2016 Recycled Water Rollout Survey. Entrants under the age of 16 must have parental or legal guardian consent to enter the competition and receive the prize.
No person or family member of someone involved in adjudicating the draw can enter the competition.
Entry into the competition means that the entrant warrants that he or she meets the entry requirements and accepts these terms and conditions.
3. Time frame
Competition starts 30 September 2016
Submissions will close 4 November 2016
Winner will be announced 5 November 2016.
4. Entries
Via the online survey application or submission in hard copy of a completing survey. Only one entry is allowed per person.
Winners will be chose by a random computer algorithm which is watched by 2 x non-independent staff members of Council.
The winner will be contacted via the telephone and / or email contact details provided in the survey. If contact cannot be made, or the will is not a suitable entrant (see clause 2) within a reasonable time (two weeks) then a redraw will occur.
5. Costs and expenses
Entrants are responsible for any and all expenses that they incur in entering the competition and they will not be reimbursed regardless of whether or not they win the competition.
6. Intellectual property
The entrant warrants that he or she has all necessary rights to provide any intellectual property provided to you and consent to any act or omission which would otherwise constitute an infringement of their intellectual property. The entrant provides an expressed license of the intellectual property to Council, so that Council can use it for promotional or advertising purposes.
7. Disqualification
Council has the right for to disqualify any entrants or entries where you reasonably suspect any unlawful or improper conduct, such as infringing a third party’s intellectual property rights, or if there has otherwise been a breach of the competition terms and conditions.
8. Privacy
Information provided in the competition is voluntary, however, if insufficient information is provided, Council will be unable to process your entry. The information will be available
to authorised officers and may be made available to public enquiries under Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
9. Notification
The name of the winner on Council’s water website (ballinawater.com.au) within 24 hours after the final decision, and this notice should remain on the website or platform for 24.
10. Prize
The prize is to be an ipad or equivalent (but not more expensive) device if request by the winner.
It shall be the latest currently available type and supplied by a local, reputable supplier direct to the winner. Any warrantees associated with the prize shall exist between the supplier and the winner. The ipad will not be inclusive of any data plans, SIM cards or any other out-of-the-box accessories.
